Politics is a set of activities associated with the governance of a country or an area.

It
involves making decisions that apply to group of members.
It refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance—organized control over a human
community, particularly a state. The academic study focusing on just politics, which is therefore
more targeted than general political science, is sometimes referred to as politology (not to be
confused with politicology, a synonym for political science).
In modern nation-states, people often form political parties to represent their ideas. Members
of a party agree to take the same position on many issues and agree to support the same changes
to law and the same leaders.
An election is usually a competition between different parties. Some examples of political
parties worldwide are: the African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa, the Democratic
Party (D) in the United States, the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, the Christian
Democratic Union (CDU) in Germany and the Indian National Congress in India. Politics is a
multifaceted word. It has a set of fairly specific meanings that are descriptive and nonjudgmental
(such as "the art or science of government" and "political principles"), but does often colloquially
carry a negative connotation.[1][6][7] The word has been used negatively for many years:
the British national anthem as published in 1745 calls on God to "Confound their politics", and
the phrase "play politics", for example, has been in use since at least 1853, when abolitionist
Wendell Phillips declared: "We do not play politics; anti-slavery is no half-jest with us."
A government is the system or group of people governing an organized community, often
a state.[1]
In the case of its broad associative definition, government normally consists
of legislature, executive, and judiciary. Government is a means by which organizational
policies are enforced, as well as a mechanism for determining policy. Each government has a
kind of constitution, a statement of its governing principles and philosophy. Typically the
philosophy chosen is some balance between the principle of individual freedom and the idea of
absolute state authority (tyranny).
Your birthday is the day of your birth! It’s the yearly anniversary
that marks the day you were born. Not everyone celebrates, but
a birthday is a good excuse for a party and cake.
You can use birthday both to refer to the specific day of a baby's birth, and the annual marking
of that day throughout the years that follow. Sometimes people talk about the birthday of a
country, group, or even a building: "It's the art museum's fiftieth birthday next year." The Old
English byrddæg originally referred to the celebration of a king or saint's birth, but over the
years it was extended to include everyone
When a baby is born, she comes into the world through birth. If you
say, "I was born in July," that's the month in which your mother gave
birth to you.
