Agreement (SSA)

Annual salary: In accordance with WHO Salary Scale for SSA (per month) at
level A (From 25,708,600 to 41,419,267.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME:

To provide technical support to the Ministry of Health on Hepatitis program to implement


and monitor the National Hepatitis action plan

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNED DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of Medical Officer for Communicable Diseases, and in close
collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Health and partners the incumbent will

1) provide technical assistance to the National hepatitis program on hepatitis


prevention and care within the context of strengthening health systems
2) provide technical support to the National hepatitis program to develop and
implement comprehensive national plan for the prevention and control of viral
hepatitis including through strategic planning processes, in line with the Global
Strategy and hepatitis guidelines
3) assist the national hepatitis program in monitoring and evaluation of national
program for hepatitis
4) develop stronger linkages between HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections
control and other health programmes and services particularly to drug dependence
and harm reduction, sexual and reproductive health, and maternal, newborn and
child health
5) assist in implementation of integrated framework of EMTCT plus (Elimination of
mother-to-child transmission) through the common platform of maternal-child health
to address hepatitis B as a public health problem
6) assist the National Hepatitis program to address the needs of vulnerable
populations, reduce vulnerability and structural barriers to accessing services
7) empower people with hepatitis, civil society organizations and communities through
partnership
8) Undertake any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor as required.

Education Essential:
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in medicine or Medical Science or


Public health

Desirable:

Post Graduate Studies or PHD in public health or


Medical Science, Medical Doctor

Experience: Essential:

2 (Two) years of professional work experience in the


field of public health
Desirable:
4 years of work experience in hepatitis program
Experience working in the UN or other
international development organization

Languages: Expert knowledge of written and spoken English and


native language skills in Bahasa Indonesia

Other Skills (e.g. IT): Work is performed in normal working environment.


Computer literacy: Proficient in the use of Microsoft
Office applications,
