PETITION FOR RECOGNITION


OF FOREIGN JUDGMENT
OF DIVORCE

PETITIONER, thru her undersigned counsel, before this Honorable


Court, respectfully alleges:

1, Petitioner is a resident of no. 8 Pres. Aguinaldo St., Commonwealth


Heights Subdivision, Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. Petitioner is
presently in tour of Australia, thus the filing of this case thru representative,
Atty. Ceferino Olivar Jr., a duly executed Special Power of Attorney is
attached as Exhibit “A”;
2. Petitioner was married to Mr. Kazumi Ito, a Japanese national, on
April 16, 2013, before the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City, copy of the
Marriage Certificate is attached as Exhibit “B”;

3. Sometime in May, 2013, Mr. Ito went back to Japan, and although
there were telephone contacts between spouses for about one year after the
husband left, this communication ultimately ended when Mr. Ito
declined/failed to reply to petitioner’s calls, and his contact numbers were
changed after that;

4. There were no children born out of this marriage. Neither is there


property acquisitions made by the spouses;

5. In September 2018, petitioner filed for divorce in Australia, and the


same was granted on September 20, 2018 authenticated copy of the divorce
decree is attached as Exhibit “ C”;
