    MEL will be implementing a Low Sulphur Fuel Recovery (LSR) fee effective December 1, 2019 to recover additional costs associated with the IMO 2020 regulation requiring lower sulfur fuel. The LSR fees per TEU are provided for various trade routes between regions in the Far East, Pacific Islands, Australia, and East Timor, ranging from $48 to $301 per dry or reefer container depending on the route. The LSR will supersede existing fuel surcharges and be reviewed monthly based on average bunker fuel prices.

    Further to our IMO 2020 – Customer Advisory, MEL will be implementing LSR w.e.f.
    1st December 2019 to recover the additional costs associated with the IMO 2020
    compliance.
