Theory X:

McGregor, the approach is very "hands-on" and usually involves micromanaging people's work to
ensure that it gets done properly. McGregor called this Theory X.

Theory Y:

Managers who use this approach trust their people to take ownership of their work and do it effectively
by themselves. McGregor called this Theory Y.

who perform fully in accordance with the

3 Theory Y
They know that they are only the ones to get
rewarded for whatever the benefit they will work
on and hence they become responsible for their
acts.

Tasks culture depicts Theory X, because in this


structure, persons stands nowhere but only
obligatory subjects who perform as per ordered.
They have no choice of their expertise and hence
Task culture they get no specific rewards for whatever their

expertise is. They might be performing tasks
which they have least interest or skill in,
therefore they will have no motivation that may
drive them to work tirelessly towards a goal with
a sense of responsibility.
