Statement of Purpose:

My name is Sohaib Shabbir and I was born on 8th Feb 1986. My father Shabbir Ahmed works
as an entrepreneur. This obviously has an impact on my life, and develops my interest
towards the field of business. Being an Asian I am aware of the surging market trends of this
region.
I decided to opt for a degree in the field of business to provide me an initial base for MBA
but I realized the limitation of the programs in this field in my home country. Henceforth,
my determination guided me towards Germany which is a hub of quality education and
eminence in practical and theoretical side of Business Administration. I eventually started
preparing for IELTS by myself and scored a combined 6.5 bands with a breakup of the same
in the respective fields of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
MY EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
I have been certain enough to complete my Matriculation (SSC) from PAF Inter College,
Korangi Creek, Karachi and then Intermediate (HSC) from the same institution. During this
tenure my focus has been inclined towards core subjects related to business. To further
attain my aim I opted for a 4 year degree program; Bachelors in Business Administration
from one of the leading university in my town; PAF KIET. After completing my BBA from PAF
KIET,I went to United Kingdom and completed my MSc in Marketing and Business
management from University of Bedfordshire. During this tenure my life outside and within
university has bolstered my confidence and has bought within me the passion for doing
masters to further grow more.
My interest is well backed by the vibrant profession of business in Pakistan as a specialist in
such a field can play a pivotal role in Pakistan and lastly my ambitions are firmly supported
by my mother's will to do further Masters from a renowned foreign university which would
instantaneously increase my understanding of the respective field and the numbers
associated at corporate level which will help me to be skillful in my field and worthy
worldwide. There are a few motivations to pick this course however I will illustrate my
decision with two principle targets. One is my absorption, capabilities and second is high
professional demand in my country.
Why I choose Germany:
Germany is a developed country. The industries and businesses in Germany have achieved a
higher level of standards and adopted modern strategies and techniques in a very short
span of time. The universities in Germany are producing professionals to welcome the
challenges at global level as they prepare the students in a manner which may foster their
careers. Thus the graduates from these universities are equipped with the highest level of
knowledge and exposure. I am very much inspired by the way German Government takes
care of its international students which shows their dedication towards maintaining higher
standards. I believe Germany is a land where one can find the most number of education
providers of Masters in Business Management I know that the other countries like UK, USA,
and Canada also offer such courses and provide sound and diverse environment like
Germany but there is a noticeable difference for the International Students.
I believe Germany is one where immense level of diverse population resides which vary in
terms of religion, nationalities and races and yet there is least possible racism hence a state
of equality for everyone willing to study in Germany. And finally I am fortunate enough to
find the course of my interest in Germany only.
My expectation from university:
After realizing the value of foreign education these days & the courses offered by University of
Cottbus(BTU), I have decided to complete my further education in Germany, as the facilities &
number of courses related to Environment and Resource Management offered in my country’s
universities are limited.
As, Germany is a multicultural country, consisting people from different backgrounds,
universities with different type of people is a true sphere of the international business world
& an ideal place to pursue higher education. I believe it will be a very pleasant experience to
be able to study with a population of diverse background therefore I look forward to
interact with such diversity that may bring a boastful experience for me.
Furthermore, after enrolling myself in University of Koblenz and Landau in Master of
Science in Informations Management course, to be specific. I would be able to achieve my
firm hold on the field and would be able to learn by doing. I am looking forward to conduct
some research relevant to my interest within the university for which I am expecting a
viable support from the institute. Studying under highly educated and experienced
instructors & teachers would be a great honour for me. As University Of Koblenz and
Landau is a highly reputed institution and is well known for its specialized faculties in every
field. It provides students with a well formulated and organized course structure with state
of the art facilities as well as a great social life experience. And this is not it, serving the
community has been my personal maxim and in reality I have been part of various voluntary
activities and I tend to do the same in my new dwelling.
Masters of Science in Informations Management being a challenging subject of interest,
and I believe after being able to achieve my degree in the respective field I will be able to
solve the problems locally in my native country and importantly at all international levels.
As the above shows, I would further like to say that I am highly motivated and much more
concerned in pursuing a master’s degree from Germany by studying in your master’s
program. I hope it would be remunerative for me to extend my vision and to improve my
English & German proficiency. I expect to have a long lasting career in this field & thinking to
provide all the possible benefits to the wide range of companies. I hope that I can invest
something in the general development of my country’s economic growth & become a
leading professional in this field. It is therefore requested to allow me to enter Germany to
get an exceptional quality of education.
