Project Scope and Limitations

Project Scope
This project is focused on designing a pier with break water and steel tower in which analyze the
design structure. The structures is in accordance with the requirements of National Structural Code of the
Philippines 2015 (NSCP 2015) and National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP). The project
uses the following software such as STAAD Pro, Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, AutoCad, Sketch Up,
Planner 5D and Luminion to accomplish all the architectural plans and structural designs. The steel tower
mainly composed of steel and it is design in accordance to the American Institute of Steel Construction
Manual (AISC) while being able to maintain the use of the structure. The project is exclusive of the pricing
estimate and work schedule, it is more focused on the structural design aspect.

Project Limitation
This project will only cover the design of pier with break water and steel tower. It will not cover the
calculation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs as well as the method of construction.
