Joseph Husband of Mary Parish Status Quo this 2018

1. Nowadays, St. Joseph has inadequate number of active youths.

2. There is no sufficient supervision and monitoring in the parish since there is no Parish Priest.
3. There is a lack of funds, facilities and equipment for the youth.
 The youth depends on the Parish for the things they need and will need in certain
circumstances.
4. Poor communication and interaction is being experienced among different groups including the
youth.
 Information regarding certain announcements isn’t relayed properly.
 The sense of belongingness and closeness is vague among the different groups in the
parish.
5. Organized system for the proper functioning of the youth is not observed.
 The youth has no set of leaders that will manage all aspects concerning the youth.

With this status it is our goal to have an empowered youth for the betterment of our parish

The following are expected to happen in the year 2021 :

1. The population of active youth has increased to a certain number.

2. There will be enough supervision and monitoring in the parish and maybe the parish has already
a Parish Priest.
3. The youth has its own funds, equipment and facilities.
4. Effective communication and interaction is being experienced among different groups including
the youth.
5. There is an organized system for the proper functioning of the youth.

In order to achieve those goals set of steps should be done

1. To increase the number of active youths we will:

 Recruit new members by sharing some information about the group and what is fun
about it.
 Conduct seminars or workshops that will encourage them to be a youth member.
 Conduct activities that will showcase the actions being made by the youth.
2. Since there is no Parish Priest, each ministry in the Parish should cooperate with each other by:
 Having meetings regarding the issues in the parish
 Assigning representatives from each ministry that will open up the state of each
ministry
3. Fund raising event will be done in order for the youth to have its own funds, equipment and
facilities such as:
 Concert for a cause
 Serenade or harana
4. To have a better communication and interaction among different groups there should be :
 Meeting or forums between the different groups, there should be contact persons
between groups
 Team building activities that would enhance camaraderie and unity among different
groups in the parish.
5. Regarding the organized system for the youth there should be set of officers that would manage
the concerns and will solve the issues being experienced by the youth.
