Background/Description:
Several reports have been received t hat t he generat or set control panel displays "Oil
Pressure OOR warning 217" and shows "--- " for t he Oil Pressure indicat ion during cert ain
operat ing condit ions. (Original part: 0193 -0430).
Replacement oil pressure senders were int roduced with a range of 0-200 PSI (0193-0617,
0193-0658) but t hese failed owing t o poor qualit y.
All the above issues have been resolved with the introduction of a new Oil Pressure
Sender. Forthcoming product will be built with the new Oil Pressure Sender and a
harness that incorporates this modification. Effective date to be determined.
Corrective Actions:
The following modification applies to field issues only and if you encounter any of the
above issues.

A034R319 (Oil Pressure Sender harness) lat est revision as requires a factory
modificat ion.

1. Connect t he t wo wires (E3-A ,E3- C) t o the existing harness with inline crimps and run the
wire (E3- B) inside t he harness t hrough t he control panel (pass through an unused pinhole of
the connector) and connect it to t he PCC1301 or PCC1302 board used on the
PowerCommand 1.X controls (see below):

2. Change the Oil Pressure Sender type to: 3 wire
This can be performed using the InPower service t ool or t hrough t he HMI display.

Through the HMI display
From t he display menu (Battery, Eng.Temp, Oil Press, Eng Hours), press and hold
t he t wo arrows t o ent er t he SERVICE MENU. Then select Setup Menus/Genset
Setup/Genset/ Scroll down (by pressing the down arrow) t o the Oil Pressure Setup
menu, select: Sender then change Sender Type: 3 wire.
St andard Warranty and Policy reimbursement guidelines apply t o this modification. Warrant y
claims must be accompanied by a Service Engineer's report.
