FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE :
United Way of Cache Valley to provide meal for local community
Event to be held this Saturday, open to all

LOGAN, UTAH — United Way of Cache Valley, a local nonprofit affiliate of the nationally
renowned charity dedicated to “working to advance the common good in 47 countries and
territories” will be hosting a meal on Saturday October 5th, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m at
the First Presbyterian Church, located at 178 W. Center St. in Logan.
The aspiration of the event is to give members of the community the opportunity to get to
know each other and enjoy a free meal. “We hope this event is beneficial to everyone who
comes out, it’s a chance to meet new people and enjoy this great community we live in,” said
Amy Anderson, organizer of the event. “We’ve seen great results from this event in the past
and expect that this week will have the same effect.”
Volunteers from several local denominations; St John’s, St Thomas, Prince of Peace, and The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, help to prepare and serve the meal for members of
the community. While the event is hosted at the First Presbyterian Church, there is no religious
affiliation involved.

community a better place to live. You can Give, You can Advocate, and You can Volunteer. You
