MR. MOISES R. EMBAT

Sir:

Warm greetings of peace!

Marriage is one of the basic civil rights of a man, fundamental to our very existence and survival. However,
the history of marriage is one of both continuity and change. One of the controversial issues in our society
today is the legalization of same-sex marriage and its question of morality. Its meaning proclaims flexibility
that resulted into a separated judgment between the bible and our fundamental law of the land. It is a
question of religious doctrine and a question of man’s right to his constitutional rights. Its parallelism boils
down to love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family that a man and woman or of the same-sex procure.

As Political Science Students, we will be conducting a formal debate as part of our class activity in Human
Rights Education. It will be a training ground for us to generate effectively our communication skills and
critical thinking towards the primary issues on same-sex marriage.
We are pleased to invite you as one of our panel of adjudicators on October 21, 2019, 10:30AM - 12: 00
PM at BHA 203. We believe that your excellent experience and knowledge to this matter is unparalleled
and will be of great benefit for us. We hope for your favorable response.

Thank you and more power!

Respectfully yours,
