Critique Paper on President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s State of the Nations Address

On Monday, July 22, 2019 in MANILA, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte used
his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) to tell Congress what laws he wants passed
and what Filipinos can expect in the last half of his term.
It lasted an hour and 33 minutes, making it his 3rd longest SONA so far. It also
contained 7 expletives, much less than his second SONA but more than his first and
third SONAs which had no curse words.

In the 4th state of the nation address of President Rodrigo Duterte I have some of the
positive topics that were discuss on the SONA Corruption, Rehabilitation of tourist
attractions, Telecommunications, Education, Protection of overseas Filipino workers,
Poverty, Disaster risk reduction and management, and Strengthening national security.
This are the positive topics that President Rodrigo Duterte state.

I have agreed to what President Duterte said in his 4th SONA because the way
President Duterte states his address to the nation he intends to really make things
happen. As of now I can see many of President Duterte mentioned in his SONA were
implemented the nation like Drug crackdown, Rehabilitation of tourist attractions,
Telecommunications, Education, Protection of overseas Filipino workers, Poverty,
Disaster risk reduction and management and Strengthening national security.

Overall, I conclude that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte have used his 4th state of the
nation address (SONA) wisely he only states his main goals for the rest of his term as
our President and he only state those he can really implement in our country.
