Different Types of Civil Society

Civil society organizations, also known as civic organizations, include among others:
 academia  non-profit organizations (NPOs)
 activist groups  political parties
 charities  private voluntary
 Clubs (sports, social, etc.) organizations (PVOs)
 community foundations  professional associations
 community organizations  religious organizations
 consumer organizations  social enterprises
 cooperatives  social movement organizations
 foundations  support groups
 non-governmental  trade unions
organizations (NGOs)  voluntary associations

Socio Political

Political sociology is concerned with the sociological analysis of political phenomena ranging
from the State, to civil society, to the family, investigating topics such as citizenship, social
movements, and the sources of social power.

Economics

Economics is a social science concerned with the production, distribution and consumption of
goods and services. It studies how individuals, businesses, governments and nations make
choices on allocating resources to satisfy their wants and needs, and tries to determine how these
groups should organize and coordinate efforts to achieve maximum output.

Cultural Economics

Cultural economics is the branch of economics that studies the relation of culture to economic
outcomes. Here, 'culture' is defined by shared beliefs and preferences of respective groups.
Programmatic issues include whether and how much culture matters as to economic outcomes
and what its relation is to institutions.
