This chapter introduce the research problem and significance to the field of the study.
Introduction:
As earthquake questioning is very important nowadays, new technologies are being developed all over
the world. They can provide better protection and give more accurate prediction of the seismic disasters.
By the help of earthquake detector this may alarm you if there is a cause of aftershocks. But earthquake
detector can be a useful home safety device because it alerts you to a quake some seconds before it
happens. This alarm can wake you up and alert you the moment the quake starts so that you can
immediately take cover or tend to other family members. The Earthquake Alarm can lessen the confusion,
save valuable seconds and provide peace of mind. Although the alarm will not give its users a huge amount
of warning, it may give them enough time to leave their properties or hide under a substantial table. This
might save lives. According to Dutta, P. K. (2017) proposed the study that involves design and
development for the earthquake alarm detection circuit based on electronic devices only which will be
highly helpful for the determination of high frequency vibrations which will trigger an impulse when the
S wave is detected by the earthquake sensor which in this case is a shaft with load that represents a steel
or building structure that shakes vibrations when the corresponding surface wave reaches the
ground.
In his study he proposed that the invention he made is detecting a high frequency which it can
determine how is level of the frequency, whether it is S-wave or a P-waves. But in our study this focused
The purpose of this study is to develop a source material in calamity which can be used by Local
Government in teaching on how to detect an Earthquake in Seismology class. The purpose of this study is

Conclusion:
The conclusion of the study participated by the researchers of West Bay Colleges. Therefore the
researcher conclude that the study they creating for is considered as a detector, because of its
effectiveness in using this kind of prototype to alert everyone that there is an alarm in the said location.
Recommendation:
1. The researchers recommend for the teachers to seek further to, continuously ask for this kind of
2. The researchers recommend for the school administrators to support the suggestion that the
teachers will to enhance the abilities of some students in making or creating with their own
3. The researchers recommend for the future researchers to continue this kind of study/Prototype
and also this can be a guide for them or be a support for doing the same study.
