To Whom it May Concern:

I am honored to write a letter of recommendation for Ms. Lauren Claycomb in conjunction with her
teaching application. Ms. Claycomb is worthy of my highest recommendation serving as her
supervisor for her student teaching practicum at Saint Francis University. Ms. Claycomb was
responsible for the day to day operations of her pre-kindergarten classroom alongside her cooperating
teacher Ms. Rebecca Romagnino. To that end, she recognizes the importance of working
collaboratively to plan for engaging instruction and to meet the needs of all of her students.

In her pre-service teacher role, Ms. Claycomb has shown her abilities to plan cohesive lesson activities
that engage her students. Ms.Claycomb’s interactions are responsive and kind. She’s always on her
toes. She has the ability to turn the classroom environment into a safe place for the students to learn
and grow.

Ms. Claycomb has a great personality, and she is easily understood by parents, students, and
colleagues. Additionally, she carries out responsibilities in a timely and professional manner. She has
effective communication skills and works well as a member of a team, as evidenced during her time at
Saint Francis University, and Blair County Early Learning Center.

I truly believe that Ms. Claycomb is an excellent candidate for a teaching position at your school. She
goes above and beyond to create meaningful learning opportunities for her students. In summary, I
close this letter of recommendation as I began it; please give Ms. Lauren Claycomb every
consideration for the position. If you have additional questions or concerns, or need further
information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Cassie Grassmyer
