FRT Web Sign-up

New Users

STEP 1: Look for Your Email Invitation

You will receive an email inviting you to apply for FRT-Web access from:
IPE-OAP@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Click on the link to sign up as a GCKey user.

STEP 2: GC Key
You must sign into the FRT-Web service using Government of Canada’s GCKey service.

Choose
‘English’ to
continue.

Select ‘Sign Up’

Accept the terms and conditions by clicking ‘I accept’.

STEP 2: GC Key
Create your new GCKey Username. Be sure to follow the requirements checklist.

Create your own Password. Be sure to follow the requirements checklist.

Once each
requirement for the
Password is met a
green check mark will
appear. Be sure to
have all the check
marks before
proceeding.

Create your
recovery questions
and answers.

The service will


confirm that your
GCKey account
creation is complete.

NOTE: It shows you


the Username you
just created.

Select ‘Continue’.

STEP 3: Create Your FRT User Profile

Fill in the required fields.

NOTE: Verifier Number field is


optional.

If ‘National Verifiers Network’ is


selected in ‘Organization Name’
the Verifier Number is
mandatory.

Verifiers must include their full


verifier ID – I.E.: TEST-0368

STEP 3: Create Your FRT User Profile


IMPORTANT NOTE: your email

1. The email address you enter


must MATCH EXACTLY
(character by character) to the
email address you used to
contact the FRT Client Support
team for access.

2. The email address must be the


one you use for work. I.E.: it
should have the domain name of
your business or organization,
NOT your PERSONAL email.

3. When complete select ‘Submit’.

STEP 3: Create Your FRT User Profile


You must now sign out.

THERE WILL BE A DELAY OF UP TO 48 HOURS

Your request for access is being reviewed and you cannot log in to FRT-Web until
completed.

Confirm that you wish to sign out.

STEP 4: Wait for Confirmation

THERE WILL BE A DELAY OF UP TO 48 HOURS

We will confirm that your request was submitted via email.

The FRT Client Support team will send you an email if your request was completed without
errors. Once you receive the email that confirms your access is granted, click the link provided.

NOTE: if your request was submitted with errors you will be contacted by the FRT Client
Support team.

STEP 5: Complete Your Sign-Up


Once you select the link you need to log in through GCKey again.

Select ‘Continue’.

Select Recovery
Questions from
the list.

DO NOT use
‘custom’
questions.

Select 3 security
questions and answer
them.

(Please note: these are


NOT the security
questions you created
for GCKey.)

Be sure to confirm
the email address
is correct before
proceeding.

NOTE: The email

access.

Select the ‘Submit


and Continue’
button.

STEP 6: Sign-Up Complete


You will now see the link for Firearms Reference Table.
