When loop circuit 1 is on, confirming of local device working

well is available; loop circuit 1 off and loop circuit 2 on,

confirming fiber transmission line and both devices work well is

available.
Note:
Push down any switch on front panel will terminate the normal
communication, and turn into the test mode.
During the PATT model testing, the circuit should be loop by

itself; otherwise the PATT code can’t come back.

shockproof foam, one device in one package.

Following are in the E1 Package;

EI Fiber Modem ------------------------------ 1

220AC Power Adapter------------------------------------ 1

User’s manual----------------------------------------------- 1

BNC --------------------------------------------------------- 2

6.2 Required tools and instrument for installation

 Cross screwdriver

 Multimeter

 Electric iron

 Optical power meter

 Optical Variable Attenuator

 Transmit test meter(protocol Analyzer)

Note: The instruments underlined are optional.

6.3 INSTALLATION

6.3.1 Unpacking

Be careful about the direction of the CTN, to make sure that

the face be up to avoid missing any accessory.

Please check the packing list enclosed with the device for the

accessories of separate E1 Fiber Modem. Please contact with us if

there is any accident.

6.3.2 Power supply

The power of AC220V/ DC-48V/ DC+24V is suitable for the device.

If the power of DC-48V/ DC+24V is used, the positive and negative

terminal can be exchanged because there is a self-test circuit for the

polarity inside the fiber modem.

6.3.3 Fiber connector

Please screw off the plastic protection cap from the connector before

installation, and then connect with the exact fiber according the mark

of TX and RX. Take care that the input and output fiber should not be

connected exchange, otherwise, the device can’t work.

The fiber connector should remain clean; otherwise, there will be

power consuming which will tamper with the transmission distance. If

there is feculence on the connector, please wipe it with clean cotton

dipping with pure ethanol.

6.3.4 Please precede the following test before use the device
Check all the buttons on the front panel are OFF, the light of
PWR, OLOS, and OLOF should be on and other lights should be off.
Push down PATT, TEST is ON, but PTOK is OFF, push down
ANA, then PTOK is ON, OLOS and OLOF is OFF.
Release the button of ANA, press REM or ask the opposite
terminal to push down DIG, the light of PTOK should be on.

If the device test normally as the above, please pushes up all the
buttons on the front panel and turn off the power supply, insert E1 out
put wire; turn on the power supply, then the device work normally.

6.3.5 If all LEDs are working not as above, please make the reference
to the MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSES AND ELIMINATE. If not
successful, please contact with us in time.

Note During the PATT model testing, the circuit should be loop by itself,
otherwise the PATT code can’t come back.
