Course Description:
Business Ethics & Corporate Governance (BECG) applies ethical theories and practice to
business management. This course introduces Business ethics and CG practices in modern
business environments. The course discusses theoretical concepts and helps in development of
knowledge, skills and leadership qualities required for ethical business practices.

Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, student is expected to
i. Discuss the nature and scope of Business Ethics.
ii. Explain the issues and challenges in Corporate Governance.
iii. Demonstrate knowledge and leadership skills required for successful application of
ethical practices in business.

Learning Outcomes:
 Demonstrate a holistic view of different aspects of Business Ethics and Corporate
Governance practices.
 Demonstrate conceptual clarity of different theoretical frameworks relating to Business
Ethics and Corporate Governance.
 Discuss the contemporary developments in the business ethics and corporate governance

Brief profile of the Faculty:

Dr .Dwarakanath Siriguppi
MBA, Ph.D

He is a Doctorate in Management from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has overall 16 years of experience in
teaching and seven years of industry experience. At IBS he teaches courses in Marketing Management, B2B
Marketing, Sales and Distribution Management and Business Ethics and Corporate Governanace.He takes
interest in Research and has published in ABDC, Scopus journals and presented papers in national and
international conferences
