Ayā nafsu adrakti l-amānī fa-ādhihi *** marābi’u khayri n-nāsi
wa n-nūri yasta’u
O soul! Have you achieved your needs? This is..
..abode of the best of mankind the light emanates.

‫ال َع ْي ِن ِك تَ ْد َم ُع‬ ِ ‫ َوى *** َو ِن ْل‬+ ‫ت ِب َها الن‬

ُ ‫ُنَى َما َب‬0‫ت ْا‬ ْ ‫ر‬+ ‫است َ َق‬ َ ‫فَأ َ ْل َقتْ َع‬
ْ ‫صاهَا َو‬
Fa-alqat ‘aṣāhā wa’staqarrat bihā n-nawā *** wa nilti l-munā
mā bālu ‘ayniki tadma’u
Your pilgrim staff does throw and reside wherefrom
And you have obtained your needs, why is it that your eyes are
shedding tears?

ُ‫ص ُل يُ ْمنَع‬
ْ ‫ول فَ َما ال َو‬
ٌ ‫ص‬ُ ‫الحبْ ُل َم ْو‬ ِ ‫الش ْم ُل َج‬
َ ‫امعٌ *** َوذَا‬ + ‫الش ْو ِق َو‬ ُ َ‫َو َما ب‬

Wa mā bālu hādhā sh-shauqi wa sh-shamlu jāmi’un *** wa dhā
l-ḥablu mauṣūlun famā l-waṣlu yumna’u

ُ َ ‫فَ َل ْو‬
Falau ṣawwarūnī fī l-ḥaqīqati lam yarau *** siwā shakhṣi
maḥbūbin bihi natammatta’u
If at all men could depict my real image, i’m nothing save that
beloved that we have pleasure in.

ِ } ‫ستُ أُثَن‬
‫يه َو َل ْم أ َ ُك أ َ ْج َم ُع‬ ِ ‫لش ْو ِق َو‬
ْ ‫اح ٌد *** َف َل‬ ِ ‫ث إِبْر‬
+ ِ‫اهي َم ل‬ ِ
َ ُ ‫فَبَاع‬
Fa-bā’ithu Ibrāhīma li sh-shauqi wāḥidun *** falastu uthanīhi
wa lam aku ajma’u
The impetus of Ibrahim (Niass) is for longing just one incentive.
I will not make it two or more.

ُ ‫وحي ِعن ْ َدهُ ال َق ْل‬

ِ ‫وت ر‬ ِ ِ َ ‫خيْر ال‬
َ ‫خ‬
‫ش ُع‬ ْ َ‫ب ي‬ ُ ُ ‫ئ ِق أ َ ْحم ُد *** ِبه ُق‬€َ ‫خ‬ ْ ُ 0‫َو ُه َو ْا‬
ُ َ ‫صطَفَى‬
Wa huwa l-Muṣṭafā khayru l-khalā’iwi Ahmadu *** bihi qūtu
rūḥī ‘indahu l-qalbu yakhsha’u
For he is the chosen and the best of creation, Ahmad
the spiritual victual of my soul, the heart submits to him.

ُ ‫م ٍد *** َو َم ْن َرا َم‬+ ‫ ِبي} ُم َح‬+ ‫اب الن‬

‫ض }ري فَ ُه َو أ َ ْج َدى َوأَنْفَ ُع‬ ِ ‫َع َك ْفتُ َع َلى َب‬
‘Akaftu ‘alā bābi n-nabiyyi Muḥammadin *** wa man rāma
ḍurrī fahiwa ajdā wa anfa’u
I retreat at the main door of Apostle Muhammad
against whoever wants to harm me, and he is my benefactor.

ِ ‫ر‬+‫ِ لِلط‬ƒ‫ول ا‬
‫ف يَ ْل َم ُع‬ ِ ‫س‬ ِ *** ‫ش َع ٍر‬
ُ ‫ضيَا ُء َر‬ ٍ ْ‫خي‬
ْ ‫ف َو َم‬ َ ‫س َعى ِب‬
ْ َ 0‫ك َة ِب ْا‬+ ‫ِب َم‬
ْ
Bi-Makkata bi l-mas’ā bi-khayfin wa mash’arin *** ḍiyāu
rasuli-llahi li t-tarfi yalma’u
In Mecca between Safah, Marwa and Munna
Light of Messenger of Allah illuminates the eyes.

‫ ُع‬+ ‫ادي ِب ِه أَتَ َمت‬

ِ ‫س َوى ال َه‬
ِ ً ‫ب َ… أَرى *** ر ِفيقا‬
َ َ
ٍ ‫حر‬
+ ‫ ُ َح‬0‫اء ِب ْا‬
ِ ‫ص‬ ِ
َ ‫ِبغَا ِر‬
Bi-gāri ḥirā’in bi l-muḥaṣṣabi lā arā *** rafīqān siwā l-hādī bihi
atamatta’u
At Cave of Hira, in Muhasab I did not see..
..any companion save al-Hadi my pleasure.

َ َ‫اش ِمي أَت‬

‫ ُع‬+‫شب‬ ِ ‫ا‡ َمام ِ ا ْل َه‬
ِْ ‫ب‬ ِ ‫ِ أ َ ْح َم ُد َع‬ƒ‫م ُد َعبْ ُد ا‬+ ‫ُم َح‬
} ‫اقبًا *** ِب ُح‬
Muḥammadu ‘Abdu-llahi Ahmadu ‘āqibān *** bi-hubbi l-
Imāmi l-Hāshimī atashabba’u
Muhammad (son of) Abdullah, Ahmad the successor.
I am satisfied via my love for the leader al-Hashimite.

ِ ‫شير نَ ِذير َم‬

ُ ‫احيَ ا ْل ُكفْ ِر أ َ ْر َو‬ ِ ِ ِ َ ‫َع َل ْي َك أ َ ِم‬
‫ع‬ ٌ ٌ ‫ِ نَاص ُر َحام ًدا *** َب‬ƒ‫\ ا‬
‘Alayka Amīna-llahi nāṣiru ḥāmidān *** Bashīrun Nadhīrun
maahiya l-kufri arwa’u
I thrill on you, Allah’s Trustworthy, Helper (of religion),
Praiseworthy,
he who gives glad tiding, (he who) warns (against sin) and
obliterator of polytheism.

‫ ِة أَطْ َم ُع‬+‫َادي ا ْلبَ ِرب‬

ِ ‫س َوى ه‬
ِ ‫حب}ي َو َمر َك ِزي *** فَ َما ِفي‬
ْ
ِ ‫َم }كيˆ َويَا َمأ ْ ُمو ُن‬
Makkiyyu wa Yā ma’mūnu ḥibbī wa markazī *** famā fī siwā
hādī l-bariyyati aṭma’u
Makkiyu, O Mamun! My beloved and my honey-pot,
I do not crave for anything except for the Guide of mankind.
 َ ُ‫ص ْل ِني ِب َحبْ ٍل َ… ي‬
‫ ُع‬+‫رى يَت َ َقط‬ َ
ِ ‫خيْر‬
ِ َ‫ات يَا َم ْل َجأ َ ال َورى *** ف‬ ِ
َ َ ‫أَيَا َجامعَ ال‬
Ayā jāmi’a l-khayrāt Ya malja’a l-warā *** faṣilnī bi-ḥablin lā
yurā yataqaṭṭa’u
O who encompass all good things! O Shelter of creations!
Connect me to a channel that it’s network shall never fail.

ُ‫ده َْر أ َ ْج َمع‬+ ‫َادي ِعن ْ َد َك ال‬

ِ ‫ن فُؤ‬+ ‫ ُم ُه *** فَ ِإ‬€َ ‫س‬
َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫َع َليْ َك‬
‘Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** fa-inna fu’ādī
‘indaka d-dahra ajma’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
Verily, my mind is always with you.

َ ‫ب ِف‬
َ ‫يك ُم‬
‫ي ُع‬+ ‫ض‬ ِ ‫ش ِب ُد‬
} ‫ون ا ْل ُح‬ َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
ٌ ‫ ُم ُه *** فَ َع ْي‬€َ ‫س‬ َ ‫َع َل ْي َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** fa-ayshun bi-dūni l-
ḥubbi fīka muḍayya’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
A life without love in you is worthless.

‫ج ُع‬ ِ ‫يْ ِر لِ ْل َق ْل‬+‫س ِو الط‬

ِ ‫ب ُمو‬ ْ ‫ ُم ُه *** لِ َقا ٌء َك َح‬€َ ‫س‬
َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫َع َليْ َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** liqā’un kaḥaswi t-
tayri lil-qalbi mūji’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
A meeting like a sip of bird is an agony for the heart.

‫سي ِبذَالِ َك تَ ْقن َ ُع‬

ِ ْ‫صيرا ً فَ َما نَف‬
ِ ‫دهُ *** َق‬f ‫\ أ َ ُع‬
َ ‫س ِن‬
ِ ‫ف ِم ْن‬
ٍ ‫َويَ ْو ٌم َكأ َ ْل‬
Wa yawmun ka-alfin min sinīna a’udduhu *** qaṣīrān famā
nafsī bi-dhālika taqna’u
Thousands years of my counting
would not satisfy my soul.

+ ‫ ُم ُه *** َع َلى َر ْغم ِ أَنْ ِفي ِب‬€َ ‫س‬

ُ ‫م ِ أ ُ َو }د‬€َ ‫الس‬
‫ع‬ َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫َع َليْ َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** ‘alā ragmi anfī bi s-
salāmi uwaddi’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
Despite my unwillingness, I bid farewell with peace.

ِ ‫ف أ َ ْر‬
‫ج ُع‬ َ ‫ ُم ُه *** َوه َْل بَ ْع َد َهذَا ُك }ل ِه‬€َ ‫س‬
َ ‫س ْو‬ َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫َع َليْ َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** wa hal ba’ada hādhā
kulluhu saufa arji’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
Shall I ever come back after all these?

ْ ُ 0‫د ْه ِر ِد ْي َن ْا‬+ ‫ ُم ُه *** َم َدى ال‬€َ ‫س‬

‫صطَفَى ال َق ْرم ِ أ َ ْرفَ ُع‬ َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫َع َل ْي َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** madā d-dahri dīna l-
muṣṭafā l-qarmi arfa’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
I will persistently propagate the religion of the great leader, al-
Mustafa.

ْ َ‫ش ِر ت‬
ُ‫شفَع‬ ْ ‫الح‬ َ ‫م‬+ ُ‫ِ ث‬ƒ‫ةُ ا‬€َ ‫ص‬
َ ‫ ُم ُه *** َم َقا ُم َك َم ْح ُمو ٌد َل َدى‬€َ ‫س‬ َ ‫َع َليْ َك‬
Alayka ṣalātu-llahi thumma salāmuhu *** maqāmuka
mahmūdu ladā l-ḥashri tashfa’u
May blessing and peace of Allah be upon you.
You have a praiseworthy station at the day of resurrection and
you will intercede on my behalf.
