Praxis Core Exam Analysis

PRAXIS ANALYSIS

To continue my bachelor’s degree in Education I must first pass the Praxis Core

Exam. In the state of Nevada, the passing scores for this test are as follows: Core

Academic Skills for Educators: Reading passing score 156, Core Academic Skills for

Educators: Writing passing score 162, Core Academic Skills for Educators: Mathematics

passing score 150.

To prepare for the Praxis Core Exam I purchased the Praxis Core study book. I

also worked on the practice tests at Khan Academy. In addition to reading the book and

practicing with practice tests, I spoke with one of our new teachers about the test. Miss

Wellard gave me some advice on what to study,

My results for the Praxis Core Exam were as follows: Praxis Core Reading 54%

which means that I am not likely to pass without further practice. Praxis Core Writing my

score was 45% another indication that without further studying I will not pass the exam.

Praxis Core Math was my most problematic test with a score of only 26% it indicates that

I need significant work to pass it.

In order to pass the Praxis Core Exam, I need to improve significantly in all areas

to do so I have already begun my preparation. To further study these area’s I have spoken

with our algebra teacher at school to begin tutoring. For writing and reading I will

continue to study my Praxis study guide while using the Praxis Core Practice tests on

Khan Academy. My results were quite eye opening I expected to do much better than I

did.
