INTRODUCTION
How do you cope with stress in the workplace to achieve a more balanced
lifestyle? Stress is a part of everybody's life. Depending on the level of stress, it can
control our lives, especially in the workplace. We begin to spend several long hours at
work, and thus have less time for other things. Stressed employees may be unhappy and
thus produce nominally. Stress can deteriorate social and family relationships and
eventually burn you out; ultimately it can take toll on your health. Organizations need
to recognize stress as a problem and decide whether or not to act upon it.

Clearly define responsibilities
Improve motivation and performance
Establish feedback
Reduce absenteeism and turnover
Identify and remove energy drainers
Improve focus and establish positive habits
The study focuses on the stress management of employees in Marvel Mattress Kolani,
Thodupuzha
The study was conducted during the period of two months from 16 December 2017 to
16 February 2
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The population selected for this particular study is employees from Marvel
Mattress Kolani, Thodupuzha. The total population of the company is 70.
SAMPLE
SAMPLING TECHNIQUES
Convenience sampling is adopted for the selection of sample size , i.e. selection
is according to convenience. Convenience sampling is one in which a sample is obtained
by selecting such units of the universe which may be conveniently locate and
contracted. Convenience sampling is not based o any rule. Samples are usually based
on convenience and may not generally represent the population.
PRIMARY DATA
Primary data were collected from the primary sources that are formally interview
and discussion with the officers and observation and structure questionnaire.
SECONDARY DATA
The data which are not originally collected but rather obtained from the publish
and unpublished sources are known as secondary sources of data. Secondary data has
been collected from books, internet, journals etc
TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR ANALYSIS
The data collected were analysed by using percentage analysis, tables, graphs etc
have been use to present data.
The time period of the study was not sufficient for a comprehensive study.
Busy work schedule of officials prevented in detailed discussions
Area of survey is limited.
Some of the replies of the respondents may be biased
