Application Cold room

When regulating a cold room, the controller
functions associated with the door switch can
be used so that when the door is opened the
light switches on and the fan switches off. An
alarm condition is indicated if the door is not
closed within a preset time.

Application Refrigeration appliance

Open appliances are normally covered at
night. If the temperature setting is not
changed when night operation commences,
refrigeration will become excessive and
energy wasted.
The controller can be set to raise the refe-
rence temperature during night operation so
that the product is not refrigerated more than
necessary.
With the log function it is possible to see the
temperature sequence and in this way find the
optimum night setback value.
Delicatessen counter
When regulating a delicatessen the
modulating thermostat function gives extra
advantages.
A normal thermostat function produces much
greater temperature fluctuations than a
modulating thermostat function.
Smaller temperature variations give constant
air humidity, which means that drying out is
kept to a minimum.

Refrigeration display cabinet

In a cold room the light is an undesirable
source of heat and the refrigeration system
has to remove the heat generated. When the
light is off, energy is saved. The clock function
in the controller can, for example, switch off
the light 10 minutes after the closing time of
the shop.

This illustration gives an example of how components can be placed for cold room
control.
