ONLINE TEACHER EVALUATION SYSTEM
1.1 Introduction
Teaching performance evaluation is a necessary step in ensuring good instruction.
Traditionally teaching performance evaluation is used as a tool to apprise teachers on how they
are doing their job. Performance is defined as a set of outcomes produce during a certain period
of time, and does not refer to the traits, personal characteristics or competencies of the performer.
The Positive (Good) Evaluation the judgment that the measurement conforms to our
values and this represents a desirable condition. The Negative (Poor) Evaluation the judgment
that the measurement is at variance to our value and this represents an undesirable condition.
This evaluation process implies the existence and use of a contextual system or structure of
values associated with the characteristics being measured.
Interface Computer College formerly known as Interface Computer Learning Center was
established in 1982. It then became a college in 1994 when IT-related programs were added to its
short term courses. All the programs and courses offered are duly recognized and authorized by
Commission of Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Skills and Development Authority
(TESDA) .In today’s living, most educators find it easy to have an online grading system in their
school because it promotes a strong home-school connection and allow busy parents to get
involved to their child’s academic performance.

1.2 Objective of the Study

General Objective
This project aim to develop an automated teaching evaluation system which will solve
the problems that are encountered during the process of the paper type by student.
Specific Objective
1. To reduce time spent in administering of questionnaire to respondents.
2. To secure the results of faculty evaluation.
3. To generate accurate results.
4. To produce on time reports.
5. To convert the manual process of faculty evaluation into a computerized faculty evaluation
system.

Specific Problem

1.4 Scope of the Study

The scope of this study is the teacher evaluation can automatically compute the performance
ratings came from the students, faculty members will easy to access because they would not need
to count it manually to know the performance rating of the professor. It can generate summary
results and reports, if the faculty want to know the result immediately our (ICC) can show the
presents result of the evaluation and can even submit reports about the evaluation. Only the
school administrator and concerned faculty member can see the results, school administrator is
the one who secured the system to prevent changing of results. The concerned faculty members
are the one who teach the students how to use the system and guide them. Also the students can
post comments or suggestion about the system to improve and to know what will be change in
our system.
This study will now cover the other type evaluating, such as personal evaluating, evaluating to
other without permission. Because Personal Evaluating is evaluating yourself about that did you
do, what kind of person are you and generally self-evaluating is deciding of what you want to
know about yourself. Evaluating Without permission sometimes this is not good or illegal by this
type evaluating you only judge a person without evidence or you maybe alleging a person. By
this type of evaluating you can know the limitations of your own attitude of behaviours in terms
of teaching.
The limitation of this study is students can’t see the result of the evaluation. Only the school
administrator can access to it. Evaluator didn’t required to create any accounts, and the system
will only use once in every semester only.
1.5 Hypothesis
If all the students seriously fill up the form it can lead to a better result which is better for
their future.

1.6 Significance of the Study

The people who will benefit the Computerized Faculty Evaluation System are the following:
Administrator – the administrators of the institution can now focus on studying the performance
of individual teachers to identify their strengths, potentials, and weaknesses that are based on a
valid and reliable faculty performance record and effectively use the data in merit pay and
promotion decisions. This system will help the person in-charge to lessen their time spent in
processing, encoding, and computing the evaluation.
Students – the system provides the students with the freedom of expressing their appreciation
and recognition of good faculty members and a means to convey their sentiments and concerns
about their non- performing faculty members without the restrictions of time and space.
Faculty – the system will provide an instant result of the evaluation to the faculty that will help
them improve their teaching methodologies. The system will provide a score for every category
of the evaluation and displays the strong and weak point(s) of the faculty.
System Users:
The system can be accessed by 3 different user groups, each group has its own access level and user
accounts.
The 3 groups are:
Administrator, Students and Teacher
System Features:
Administrator can manage the following records:
Student Information – only admin can create, update and delete information
Faculty Information – admin can update, delete and create new record of faculty
Subjects – manages subject information (create, update delete)
Questions – revised and updates the list of questions.
Reports – only admin can generate and print results of faculty evaluation
Students
Students can login to their account and rate or evaluate the teacher.
Students can also post a comment to their teachers.
Teachers
Teachers or faculty can login to their account and view their result and view comments.
