Gram-positive panels

Penicillin Cephalosporin
Amoxicillin / Clavulanate up to 32 / 16 µg / ml for SIR Ceftaroline: an advanced-generation cephalosporin that has
determination of bacteria responsible for bactericidal activity against Gram-positive pathogens
uncomplicated UTI including MRSA strains

Carbapenem Tigecycline
Lower concentrations allow easier detection of non- Activity against a wide variety of Gram-positive including
susceptible carbapenem organisms and resistances of multidrug-resistant strains1
clinical and / or epidemiological importance

• Ertapenem and Imipenem range starting from 0,25 µg

• Meropenem starting from 0,125 µg in line with the

screening cut-off proposed by EUCAST

Tigecycline
First member of the glycylcycline and increasingly used for
the treatment of multidrug-resistant organisms

CPO Detect
Discover how the BD
Select the best formulations PhoenixTM CPO detect
to meet your needs. test can
•D
 etect Carbapenemase Producing
Organisms quickly, efficiently
and accurately

• Classify CPOs within Ambler

classes A,B or D

•F
 acilitate rapid implementation of

CP
infection prevention and control
measures

• Support selection of targeted

antibiotic treatment for
CPO infections

Combating CPOs
critical threat:
BD PhoenixTM CPO detect.
The new, innovative BD PhoenixTM CPO
detect test is the first CPO detection test
on an automated ID/AST system that
reliably detects carbapenemases.
The test flags CPOs and classifies them
into main Ambler classes A, B, or D in 6 to
11 hours from isolated colonies. *As the
test is integrated in BD PhoenixTM panels,
#
susceptibility results for relevant drugs
such as Carbapenems, Tigecycline,
^
Colistin and Ceftazidime/Avibactam
will follow shortly after CPO detect
results are available.

* Time to results are 6H for Enterobacteriaceae and Acinetobacter, 11H for

Pseudomonas. Resultson file at BD.
#
CPO detect test is available in two formats: Yes/No and Yes/No plus Ambler
classification enabling its integration within different panel types.
^
Colistin is not available for testing in the US.
