Synopsis
Immigration Destroying Dard Shin Culture is a historical
documentary running for 1 hour and 30 minutes, directed
by Ishtayaq. It is based on the Gurez history which was once
the part of Gilgit before partition of 1947.
Telling the story of SHAHID who is a protoganist, had
immigrated to Bandipora during the time of Indo Pak
tension in 1999 and since then never return back to their
home because of lack of basic amenities, harsh climate,
education , employment opportunity and cross shelling of
LOC are the major reasons of that . Now residing in Kashmiri
dominated culture in Bandipora Shahid has completely
dissolved in the new culture even cant speak in native
language Shina .

Treatment:

The focus of the documentary is the vitality on Gurez

immigration of people who have migrated to Bandipora and
others parts of Kashmir that incessantly is approaching to
end of Dard Shin Culture .
