Veda Camp 2019 - Instructions and Guidlines To Parents
It is our pleasure to Welcome you all to the “Raksha” - Veda Camp 2019 being conducted
by our Vedashram for your Wards :
We have listed below a few guidelines - which you may kindly brief them to your wards before
coming to the Camp:
1) Students enrolled for “Raksha” - Veda camp - FIRST BATCH should reach our
Vedhashram, accompanied by their parents / guardians before 2 pm on 20 APRIL 2019
(Saturday).
3) We request only those parent(s) / Guardians who came for dropping the kids to come
again at the end of the camp for pick up and no one else.
6) Post lunch, a conclusion session by all the kids who participated in the 1 st batch of the camp
will be held between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. alongwith their parents / guardians.
7) All Parents / Guardians of the 1st batch students are expected to pick up their kids from 5pm
onwards on 27th April 2019.Saturday after completing due pick up formalities. (sign the
register)
1) Students who enrolled for Raksha Veda Camp - SECOND BATCH should reach our
Vedhashram accompanied by their parents / guardians before 9.00 am on 19th May 2019,
Sunday.
3) Tiffin organised for all (kids and parents) at 8.0 am . Parents may leave our Vedhashram
at around 10 a.m. after a campus visit.
4) SECOND BATCH Camp will commence on 19th April 2019, Sunday by 10 am.
6) There will be a de-briefing session by the 2 nd batch students as part of course conclusion
between 3 and 5 p.m. on 25 th May, where we expect the parents also to participate.
7) All Parents / Guardians (only those who dropped them on 19 th) are expected to pick up
their kids by 5 PM on 25th, May Saturday, after completing due pick up formalities. (By sign
the register)
Being a residential programme, we expect the Parents to have prepared their wards for their
stay at the Ashram along with other co-participants.
During the duration of the camp, every kid is expected to be independent to take care of
himself for carrying out ALL HIS DAILY ROUTINES.
Parents are expected to warn their kids not to be adventurous. Unless adventurous, all the
kids' overall safety is ensured by the Co-ordinator / Anchor of the camps.
Every student will have enough time to learn Vedhas / Slokhas besides ample time for playing
Ashram will ensure their stay is comfortable and enjoyable through out
Every student will be provided with sumptuous and healthy food, pure cow milk and Snacks at
periodic intervals.
1) Two sets of 4 yards White Dhoties (or bigger white towels for students in the age group of 7-9)
and 4 small towels.
3) One eversilver Plate for meals and one tumbler – duly initialled at the back side of it by paint
for identity.
4) Bathing soap, 1 rin wash bar, brush for washing and other cosmetic items, as required, like
Paste, brush, Comb, oil, etc. to be sent.
5) One Bedspread without Pillows.
9) 1 Yoga Mat (of standard size) for Yoga class with due initials marked for identity. If you
cannot afford a yoga mat a Turky towel of yoga mat’s size would do.
10) Medicines, if any - with instructions to consume them written and handed over to the Anchor /
organisers.
11) With names of students already registered, an Id card will be pre-prepared and given to them
at the start of the camp. Kids are expected to wear them throughout (even if they are inside the
campus) – except during sleep time. The ID cards are to be returned to the Organisers at the end of
the camp duration. The card will carry the Boy’s name with his parent’s Mobile No. on the one
side and Ashram’s logo and Anchor’s Mobile no.
12) Kids to be strictly instructed not to leave the campus unless accompanied by the Organisers.
13) Unless an emergency, Parents are requested NOT to call their kids and disturb the camp
proceedings. Be assured that you are going to leave your wards in the safe hands who have vast
experience in conducting such camps over years.
14) Play items that your kids are used to can be brought and taken back or left behind for Patashala
kids’ usage later. However, it is expected that your kids share them for team plays during the camp
tenure.
15) Untill and unless medically called for, drop outs in the middle of the camp duration is strictly
not entertained.
16) Parents / Guardians are expected to share an ICE (in case of emergency) number as well for
our Co-ordinators to reach out on any exigency. This will be used only on rarest conditions.
17) On all visits of the parents during the camp tenure, parents are expected to write the visitors’
log with the Anchor / Co-ordinator.
18) Alergies, if any, of your wards to be intimated in writing ahead of the camp.
19) Kids do undergo small skin scratches, etc. during group plays. We have enough and more first
aid items to treat them at site. Parents are requested not to go wild on them. We will intimate you,
only when called for.
a) Mobil Phone or any related items. b) Gold / Silver items of any form. c) Cash / Currency.
d) No sharp instrument like Knife, cutter, etc. e) No costly items of any kind, even if your kid is
used to keeping them daily.
f) No pets to be brought. Neither your kid will develop any friendliness with pets around the
campus.
g) No thatha patti’s to stay back, however affectionate they are with your kids.
1) Items like Vibuthi / Kumkum / Chandhan / Samith for performing samithathanam, etc..
2) Study Materials - covered in the syllabus designed.

We are sure you will give all the required instructions to your kids for
obeying instructions of the Teachers, Anchor and other Camp co-ordinator during their stay and
not to take any risk during non-study times and wander around alone.
Though preferred that Parents stay away, if absolutely needed you may contact your kids only
over phone between 7 p.m. and 9.00 pm to our Event anchor's mobile number 98840 37635 to
know the progress.
To the extent possible, be our guest in fulfilling the objective of the programme by leaving
your kids to manage themselves during the camp tenure.
You are most welcome to come to our Ashram any time and extend your voluntary services.
Looking forward to receiving you and your kid(s) at the Ashram. We are sure you will feel a
positive change in them post attending the camp.

If you wish to come on your own vehicle, accessing GPS with a search for Sri Chathurveda Vidhya
Ganapathi Vedashram can guide you with right directions. In any case, here are the directions to
reach our Vedashram if GPS doesn’t work for signal or other reasons:
Cross Paranur Tollgate => Proceed 2 KM on GST => Come on Service Road at the side of the
bridge on GST itself => Turn right under the bridge and proceed for 5 KM on Chengalpattu
Kanchipuram State Highway => After a deep S bend, on your right you will see an Aircel Office
and an Aircel tower => Proceed on highway itself for 2 KMs. => On your left and Right sides
there are yellow colour sign boards directing you the way to our Vedashram.
