Crime

It is any act or behavior that is against the written constitution or law of a state or
violation of the law .For example in the state of Pakistan murder , drinking alcohol, over
speeding, night clubs, drugs etc. are all crimes as there is written law against all these
kind of acts

Deviance

Deviance is any act that is against social norms and values. Social norms differ from
culture to culture , it is possible that an act or behavior is considered deviant in a society
but the same act may not be considered deviant in another society. For example late night
dance clubs are considered deviant in Pakistan but are not considered in foreign countries
such as USA , Australia etc.

Deviant act in society

One of the most important deviant act that our culture is facing today is women’s
education .people don’t give importance to education of girls . Female are being
suppressed by ilitrate people who are against females education. Most of the people think
females do not require education they just belong to house work because of this most of
the women’s are left uneducated and have no experience to face the world . This is most
common in the backward areas where people are still having ancient thoughts. Even the
birth of a girl is considered disgraceful and although it is rare now but still many girl
child are buried alive at their birth and those who are not killed are forced to live a
miserable life. Another issue related to this is the dressing of the females as most of the
females are forgetting their cultural dressing and moving towards foreign dressing style
that is a great threat to our cultural values. Because of the dressing style girls are also
facing many threats such as they are being abused by others and also being considered
disgraceful. Girls are forgetting their cultural dresses and moving towards foreign wears
. As Kashmir is a territory the girl education is also being suppressed because children are
not being provided with necessary environment. But girls are also participating in the
independence movement along with boys.

Following are the precautionary measures or the rules against such deviant acts created
by our society:

 At first there are many awareness schemes created because these are backward
areas where government is not having much hold severe punishment is their for
those who are against girl child birth.
  Many organizations are created which are working for the educational rights of
women.
 Awareness is being created by many organizations to promote girls education
through posters and banners ‘
 Workers of the organizations are going to each house to promote girls education.
 Also the society is building up schools for free education or private educational
associations to educate girls.
 Society has created a standard according to which educated girls are given more
preference than uneducated one’s.
 As for the dressing of the girls in developed areas there are many awareness
schemes that are working to promote cultural dressing .

 As per our society concern cultural dressing is made compulsory for girls
 Educational department is also lending a hand by forcing students to wear cultural
dresses as uniform or course code dress.

Punishment

 They are considered as stigma which causes certain psychological problems for
them.
 Women faced invincible problems and become separated from their family in
some cases.
 Transgression of the prevailed norms is provoked and annoyed by the society.
 Religious scholars considered such women as dominant factor of evil and
wickedness in the society.
