Wellness Medium and Your Wellness Plan

The medium I have chosen is dance.

2. What does this medium represent to you? Why? Please describe why this is meaningful.

This medium represents a way of expressing myself. Dance is meaningful to me because


it has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl. Dancing has always been a way
to de-stress and forget about everything else happening around me and in my life. It
really centers me and allows me to focus on the flow of my body. Dancing is one of the
activities that I love doing in order to maintain wellness in my life. I feel like it is
important to incorporate it into my life, even when I am busy, to improve my mental
health and wellbeing.

3. Post your personal wellness commitment statement and plan to care for YOU below. Be
specific.

My personal wellness commitment statement is that I will incorporate at least two total
hours of dancing into my weekly routine. I feel like it is important to not make this feel
like a chore. Therefore, I will include various types of dancing such as freestyling to
music around the house, choreographed dance routines, and workout videos that are
based on dance into my routine. I plan to do four 30-minute sessions per week.
