Idea offers a range of more than 200 modular interchangeable functions. A wide range of cover plates, from the rigorous design of Classica
to the rounded one of Rondò. All the devices are available in grey and white. It is thus, possible to obtain aesthetical results, with the use of
the same accessories: the grey devices enhance the technological appeal of the lighting point and show it as an integral part of decoration,
the white ones with their stylish elegance minimize the presence of the electrical functions on the wall and offer the possibility of choosing
cover plates in light colours.

Devices for Comfort: thermostats with display for residential and services sectors; timer-thermostats; programmable timer-switches and
alarm clocks. All with straightforward, user-friendly programming and backlighting of display and buttons.
Safety devices: methane gas, LPG, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, four safety concentrates with acoustic and optical signal-
lings, interlocked socket outlets, circuit breakers and overvoltage suppressors.

By-me integrates functions of home automation, video door entry, burglar alarm system, multi-zone climate manage-

Other systems dedicated to the services sector and coordinated with Idea series are Well-contact, for the hotel sector and Netsafe,
for structured cabling.

Equipment and cover plate customizations
Vimar laser technology allows the reproduction of any name, lo-
gotype or trademark, with absolute precision and indelebility, even
for small quantities. The following symbols are laser engraved:
- all symbols of the articles present in this catalogue;
- the symbols and wordings underneath; to order them, the
desired article reference is to be completed with the relevant
code of the desired symbol or wording (i.e. 16001.01 = 1P
16 A 1-way switch with .01 symbol)
- symbols, logotypes or trademarks on request: send, with the
order, the black and white image to reproduce, 2-3 times larger Possible positions to customize

Warnings
Laser customization advantages
• indelible engraving that does not deteriorate over time;
• high-precision reproduction even of very fine lines and complex images;
• service available even for minimal quantities;
• possibility of ordering the same customization at different times with identical
results, because all customizations are stored on magnetic supports.
The few limits of technology
• it is not possible to reproduce coloured images;
• the following cover plates colours can not be customized:
SILK: .07, .10, .13; TECHNOPOLYMER: .40, .43, .44, .47; 12-and 18-modu-
le cover plates: 16748.V.23 and 16749.V.23;
• WOODEN cover plate customization: prices and quantities agreed with
the commercial networks.
What to supply
• a printout or trasparency of the image to be reproduced, in black-and-white Estimated lead times for devices and cover plates
line drawing scaled 2 or 3 times larger than the finished size;
• the image may also be supplied on magnetic support, together with hard copy:
DOS or MAC diskette with images in EPS or TIFF format (consult your printer
or graphic artist);
• for button engravings, make sure that the desired symbol or label is not already
included in the table 'Standard symbols and wordings' below; if so, simply
indicate the corresponding code in addition to the article code in your order.
Things to avoid
• do not provide photocopies;
• do not fax image to be reproduced, since the low definition of the fax makes it
impossible to reproduce the document in laser quality.
How to proceed
• photocopy this page and fill it in carefully;
• enclose the image to be reproduce, without using paper clips, staples or adhe-
sive tapes;
• deliver all the documentation to your area wholesaler/distributor, who will then
forward it to Vimar.
