AEROBICS WORKOUT GRADING SHEET

GROUP MEMBERS

RUBRIC:
__________ Exercises of workout – 10 points
10pts
 Students incorporate at least 10 different exercises in their workout;
alternating between push, pull, core and lower body exercises.
7-9pts
 Less than 8 exercises are taught and performed; missing two exercises for each:
push, pull, core and lower body
 Workout is too difficult for all members to perform
 Needs much more practice.
0-6pts
 Less than 5 exercises are taught and performed; only one exercise for each:
push, pull, core and lower body
 The workout does not have a clear beginning, ending or cycle.

12–15 pts
 Presentation is clear
 Shows the workout has been practiced because all group members can
correctly perform each exercise; includes various intensity levels for each
exercise
9-11pts
 Presentation is a little hard to follow at times
 Some group members are lost during two or more exercises; obvious they have
not practiced how to perform the exercises.
0-8pts
 The workout is difficult to follow as it’s choppy and unrehearsed with many of
the group members unable to perform most of the exercises.

17-20 pts
 Each person in the group takes turns explaining a portion of the routine,
 The explanation to the class is clear and easy for the class to follow from
one exercise to the next with proper safety cueing.

13-16 pts
 Presentation to the class transitions from one exercise to the next are not
Counted/timed and safety cues are missed
 Everyone is able to perform the exercises.
 Group members do not take turns leading and/or do not know one another’s
part of the routine.
0-12 pts
 Presentation cannot be followed
 The class is unable to repeat the routine, for example, no cueing or
transitioning occurs.

27-30 pts
 Title page included with all group members names, class period, focus of
workout
 Paper includes: specific duties of each group member, main focus of the
workout—including name of exercises, muscles used, variations of intensity,
safety precautions, type of stretches.
 Each of the exercises within the workout are thoroughly explained and visual
pictures are shown.
 The entire paper and title page are typed with use of picture/drawing of the
exercises.
21-26 pts
 Title page missing
 Paper includes: specific duties of each group member, main focus of the
workout is missing some of the muscles used, safety precautions, variations of
intensity, type of stretches.
 Each of the exercises within the workout are thoroughly explained with
pictures.
 The entire paper is typed but spelling and grammar errors occur as well as
pictures/drawings of exercises are missing.
0-20 pts
 Title page is forgotten, paper is not typed, hard to follow, for example, the
paper is missing more than half of the exercises performed, muscles used, safety cues and
no intensity modifications or stretches are included.
 Numerous spelling and grammar errors occur
