GROUP 3

JUMPING STONE

MECHANICS:
 First, setup. Make circles on the ground, creating one long trail. There should be room
on each end of the trail for a line of players to stand.

 Divide your players evenly into two teams and send each team to line up at either end of
the hula hoop trail.

 At “go,” player 1 and 2 start hopping down the hula hoop trail, landing once in each hula
hoop. When they meet each other, they play a quick round of rock-paper-scissors. (If
they tie, they play again quickly until someone wins.)

 The loser of rock-paper-scissors then leaves the hula hoop trail, going back to the end of
his team’s line. The winner gets to continue hopping up the hula hoop trail, trying to get
to the opposing team’s starting point.

 As soon as the loser (of rock-paper-scissors) leaves the trail, the next player in Team’s
line starts hopping down the trail. When they meet, they play rock-paper-scissors.

 The game ends when someone reaches the end of the hula hoop trail (the starting point
for the other team).

MATERIALS NEEDED:
 Chalk substitute for hula hoops.

LESSON LEARNED:
 Teamwork is a must.
