 Location / Access (proximity to the city centre, roads, boundaries, environs)
 Locational benefits/disadvantages – (the aptness of location for such a
proposal, mutual dependence of the proposal and its neighbourhood,
existence of any distinct architectural style in the immediate environs)
 Macroclimate / microclimate – Data/information required to establish the
climate type like land forms, temperature, humidity, rainfall, prominent
breeze direction, etc.
 Existing Land Use
 Surrounding Land Use
 Topography & other site features
- Contours
- Existing water bodies
 Surface Drainage
 Existing Vegetation – nature, type & condition(worth retaining or not)
 Soil type & nature
 Hydrology – water table
