Prior to each intervention in the x-tay generator, this must be disconnected by ¢ means of the power OFF switch on contro! panel S36. Note: After switching off, a voltage of 600 V DC for the main inverter W1 Continues to be applied to the control console. The green LED lamp (V19 ‘on D522) is illuminated (pages 3/1). Within 1 1/2 min., this voltage drops to OV; subsequently, the green LED lamp goes out. To deenergize the generator, disconnect it with the main switch from the power supply. Circuit boards may be pulled out or inserted only with the generator ‘switched off! ‘® When operating the precision oscillograph, the existing protective-ground wire connection in the power cable must not be opened under any circumstances. For those measurements, where any possible earth circuits may impair the measurement resutt, the differential amplifier (difference measurement) should be used. Owing to the dangerous high voltage (600 V DG voltage) in inverter W1, no measurements must be made there. Self-holding of the NS contactor takes place via contacts 13-14, Power indication (2/4) The power line voltage of transformer winding T1/4- (50 H2) or T1/4-6 (60 H2) is monitored by lamp Bt. With powerline voltage present (also when generator is “off"), B1 lights up. When this voltage salso resent at the coil of the HS contactor (generator “on*), the LED V1 on the control panel is also turned on vi optocoupler J1. Different power supplies (2/2) Power line voltages from 380 V - 415 V/50-60 Hz are possible 380V power line: connection U9- 2.2 415 V power line: connection U9 -72.4 Rectification (2/1-5 bottom) ‘The power line voltage is rectified by VS - V7. D125/C1-C3 represent a whole storage effect circuit. Capacitors 1 and C2 smooth the voltage. Resistors 2 and R3 provide equal voltage distribution to C1 and C2and at the same time serve as leader resistors. When the HS contactor comes off, capacitors C1/C2 are discharged through contacts 21-22 and resistor Rd. Resistor Ri limits the charging current and isshorted outby the LS contacts only during exposure preparation. ‘The inductance L1 limits the discharge current from C1 and C2 in the event of a rectifier short-
