COUNCELLOR
(Sitting across from the STUDENT, leaning on a round
table)
Hiya, how are you?
STUDENT
Alright I Guess
COUNCELLOR
(Sorting papers and folders on table)
Yeah? That’s good, so what did you want to chat about
today?
STUDENT
Well ever since my boyfriend broke up with me I’ve not
wanted to go outside. I haven’t been eating anything and
I haven’t spoken to anyone.
COUNCELLOR
Okay…
STUDENT
I think I need more therapy or something

COUNCELLOR
Well, if that’s something you think you would benefit
from, of course you can meet up with an external
counsellor.
(Looks at STUDENT empathetically)
One piece of advice though, I’ve noticed you never listen
to music. You know that for some people, music can really
help reduce stress and improve your general self-esteem.
STUDENT
That doesn’t sound right.
COUNCELLOR
It’s true. It can also increase your pain threshold.
(Camera looks at STUDENT)
I think before you make a decision on more therapy, try
creating a playlist of songs that only make you happy.
Whenever you feel low, put your earphones in and see what
happens. It could really help.
