Introduction

A. Background of the Study

I want my business to be a bicycle and motorcycle parts shop just like the business of my
parents. I chose this kind of business because I want those who are fond of biking and
motorcycling gets good qualities of bicycle and motorcycle parts.

The importance of this business is to supply the biking and motorcycling lovers good
quality and affordable items. My products will be affordable, original, long-lasting, and will be
of high quality.

In having this kind of business, one should have the skills in connecting to other people
to spread the news about the business. One should have knowledge about bicycle and motorcycle
components. Also, one should be fond of bicycles and motorcycles.

B. Objectives

This business aims to have a profitable income. The prices of the products will not be
very expensive but will be fair enough to make a profit.

This business also aims to provide customers materials of good quality in fair and just
prices. This will help lessen the customer's expenses.
C. Methodology

 Target places where there are few bike shops


 Check for competition in the area
 Keep record of profit and huge expenses
 Continue the business of the family
 Go on social networking
 Offer discounts and promos on wholesale buyers

D. Definition of Terms

1. bicycle - a light 2-wheeled vehicle with a saddle, pedals, and handle-bars for
steering
2. motorcycle - a 2-wheeled automotive vehicle
3. Social networking - exchange of information or services among individuals,
groups, or institutions marked by pleasant companionship with one's friends.

Market Study

A. Market Environment

My targeted customers are those who love bicycles and motorcycles. The prices would be
affordable to all. My products will be of high quality and definitely original. The distribution
channel will be in the way of putting up a store, and also there will be a delivery system to reach
those buyers in far place. My target area is on the center of the city so that it will be accessible to
the public. The transporting of goods will be of the way of a truck to reach buyers.

B. Supply and Demand Analysis

The sources of supply will be from companies/manufacturers abroad. Of course, there


will be a substitute available in the market but local products. I will not be the one who will
produce the products. If there will be problem in the supply of products, the problem will be on
the companies/manufacturers abroad. I am not expecting to capture the share of the market.

D. Pricing/Selling Price

My basis for pricing will depend on the original price of the products and on the shipping
fee of the products. It will cover the original price and shipping fee. The prices will be more than
10% higher than the original product.

My expenses will depend on the original prices and shipping fees every two weeks. It
will also depend on the salaries that I give to my salesman, P3, 000/month. The place would be
rented that will cost me P4, 000/month. Also, taxes will be paid.
E. Marketing Process and Program

The product will depend on which part the customer would buy its size, color and weight.
It may be made of metal, steel, plastic, or rubber. The products will be packaged in the
company/manufacturer abroad so it will be checked before it will be shipped in the Philippines.
It will be packed air-tight and waterproof.

I chose this name because it is the present name of the business of my parents. I just
made up the logo.

I will promote my business through social networking sites, radio, television, newspaper
and I will put billboards throughout the city. I and my salesman will be nice and friendly to all
customers.
