Statement of Purpose

Ever since I have worked as a marketing expert in Amish Supermarket at Lower Manhattan,
I have nurtured a dream to pursue MBA in Marketing.

Having one and a half year of pertinent involvement in the field of marketing sector, the
intensity of learning appears to get me out, convincing me to seek more. The dream I supported
amid my graduation has grown with me and to make this a reality I do plan to seek MBA in
'Marketing Management' at your prestigious university.

I am unique, and uniquely fortunate, to have a diverse background both academically and
professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures, and languages.
Early in my life, I attended Renaissance High School for Musical Theatre & Technology after which
I enrolled into Borough of Manhattan Community College. Considering difficulty in time
management between work and college and poor monetary state of my family, I had to drop out of
college. Later I joined the New York Dolls club as a stripper which helped me economically and
emotionally to become strong and independent. It demonstrated me the real importance of hard
work and perseverance which persuaded me further in my career. I also use to make money
hosting club event as an Instagram influencer which engineered me to partake in one of the
celebrated VH1 reality television series “Love and Hip Hop: New York”. Working in this field gave
me a brief idea about how to attract and convince more and more people.

Today I am an active musician, rapper, singer and a songwriter. I was awarded by 8

internationally acclaimed awards including major awards such as American Music Awards. Also, I
was the first female rapper to hit No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 in 20 years with the song “Bodak
Yellow”. During the journey of becoming one of the acclaimed identities of America, I have
confronted and conquered many challenges. I have done a number of tours in various parts of the
world which had helped me to develop an international perspective. As the brand ambassador of
Reebok, I have analysed marketing and branding example of an organization as well.

I have worked on various social media projects including spreading awareness and
importance of feminism over the world, donation of clothing which is one of the basic necessities
to 100+ people in Brooklyn and financially supporting families.

However, even after all these achievements there are many things that I still want to do, to
achieve, yet I feel my current knowledge is not enough to achieve my goals. The curriculum of
your MBA program is what I need to ponder, it is much more challenging and will allow me to
develop my abilities further. I have a strong background in various aspects, from marketing and
management to branding and advertisement. I believe your university is the best institution for me
to further hone my talent in marketing management and eventually earn the title of MBA at the end
of my education.

Marketing Management course competence will help me improve my cognizance in the

field and I believe that studying at your university will give me the means to achieve my goals and
realise my dreams. I, therefore, make an earnest request to consider my application for admission
at your university because a student’s success is not solely his but because of the formidable
formation of his institution.
