Re: Diana Simmons
To whom it may concern:

Diana was a student in Child and Family Studies here at Baylor, graduating December, 2015. During her time
at Baylor, she spent sixty lab hours at the Piper Center for Family Studies and Child Development for her
classes in child development, infant/toddler, and preschool child. She also completed her 150 hour practicum at
Piper summer of 2015 as our music teacher. During this practicum, she taught all the children in the classes
from infants, toddlers, twos, young multi-age, and our two preschool classes music. The children learned so
much more than just singing fun songs. They learned many of the basics of music while having fun.
Diana’s abilities beside her music are that she is flexible, committed, and reliable. She worked diligently this
summer to meet each of the classroom’s schedules and specific needs. After her practicum, Piper hired her as
one of our work study students that serves as a teacher assistant in the classrooms. She was very supportive and
helpful during her time working. We just wished she were staying in Waco, so she could become a full time
Piper teacher! We wish the best for her in professional career. If Diana ever comes back to Waco, she will
always have a job a Piper!
If any additional information is needed, please contact me, I will be happy to discuss what a great early
childhood educator Diana is.
Sincerely,
Barbara
