How do you strive to keep your culture and tradition intact?

ANSWER:

Kahit na andito kami sa Manila pinapanatili pa rin naming an gaming kultura, tumutugtog kami at
sumasayaw.

The respondent said that even though they are here in Manila they still maintain their culture, they
dance and play music.

How do you adjust yourself in the way of speaking without forgetting your own dialect?

ANSWER:

Kapag kausap naming ang maraming tao, gumagamit kami ng Tagalog pero kapag kami lang na mga
Badjao ginagamit naming yung salita naming.

talking to their fellow Badjaos they use their own dialect.

Wala naming binibigay ang gobyerno samin ang sabi nila meron daw pero walang dumadating samin
na tulong.

now they are still waiting for the benefits of it.

Sa lugar namin kulang ang mga classroom kaya mas pinili na lang namin na magtrabaho para
makatulong sa mga magulang namin.

Mahalaga samin yung may maayos na mapupuntahan kasi yung iba samin nagkakasakit na dahil wala
kaming maayos na tirahan.

Gusto naming makapag aral anf mga anak naming pero wala kaming pambayad sa paaralan.

Nahihirapan kaming makahanap ng trabaho dahil hindi kami nakapag aral.

Dahil marami kami sa pamilya marami rin kaming pinapakain, wala kaming pera para makapag-aral

Sa probinsya namin nangingisda kami pero hindi sapat yun para makakain kami sa araw-araw sana
bigyan kami ng gobyerno ng mga Bangka para makabalik kami sa aming pangingisda.

so that they can go back to fishing.

Walang dumadating saming tulong para maibali ang pangkabuhayan namin.

Wala po akong nababalitaan kung meron o wala.

The respondent stated that he did not have enough knowledge whether there Is a program for their
proper hygiene that will help to lower mortality rate.

Are there programs that help prevent poor hygiene to Badjaos?

Sana bigyan kami ng gobyerno ng maayos na bahay para makaligo kami at maayos kaming
makatulog sa gabi.

them to take a bath and have a good night sleep.
