Dato Dr Emmanuel Erwin Raj

Dato Dr. Emmanuel Erwin Raj worked was recruited as a Special Task Force
Police officer and then he worked in the Law Enforcement Division. Later he joined
Narcotics Enforcement Division in Penang district. He joined the police ranks in the year
1980 and resigned in 1987.
He worked as hard as possible to check the growth of Narcotics in his region.

He saw the harsh reality of those taking drugs, especially youngsters and other addicts.
Consuming drugs resulted in loss of their homes, bred violence in neighborhood, caused
unfavorable conditions for the country`s development, led to severing of relations with
parents and thus rendering them homeless and as orphans. When he saw the plight of
many families destroyed owing to the addition of drugs, he always took a strong stand
against it.

He followed stringent measures and effective strategies those days and till today to
curb the spread of narcotic activity. He dealt it with a firm hand. He vehemently
suppressed it by punishing those perpetrating crimes related to narcotics like tobacco,
liquor, ganja, cigarette and other similar substances in a severe manner

Why he quit his Responsibility?

The main reason for resigning his job as an honest police officer was his strong dislike
and condemnation towards taking and giving away of bribery. Apart from this, his
dream and intense desire to run his own business was also one of the main reasons for
Dato Dr Emmanuel Erwin Raj to quit his job in the Police Department
