NARRATIVE REPORT IN FILIPINO VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION


THEME: “Pagmamahal sa Bayan Paigtingin: Pamilyang Pilipino Pagtibayin.”
The celebration of Filipino Values Month in November, pursuant to Proclamation No. 479
issued on October 7, 1994, is an effective measure to create Moral awakening and national
consciousness on unique, positive, and genuine values held important by the Filipino in their daily
lives.
Whereas, Proclamation No. 62, dated September 30, 1992, declared a Moral Recovery
Program in response to the need to strengthen the moral resources of the Filipino rooted in
Filipino culture, values and ideals that are pro-God, pro-people, pro-country, and pro-nature, and
thereby mobilizing all Filipinos for nation-building through the practical exercise of human values
in our daily lives as citizens and to awaken us all to the power of these values in achieving our
individual and national goals.
Anchored on four pillars – makaDios (pro-God), makatao (pro-people), makabayan (pro-
country), and makakalikasan (pro-nature), these values mirror the country’s rich tradition and
cultural heritage, Filipino values are instilled early in life. They are developed from the people’s
direct experiences with others, particularly with parents, teachers, relatives, and friends. Positive
values, especially respect for man’s dignity and honor, make Filipinos productive, responsible,
and law-abiding.
Thus, in line with the statement above, Marilog High School of Agriculture enjoins the
whole month celebration by observing the month of November as Filipino Values Month. It is a
month which will help us Filipino commemorates the value of preserving Filipino Values. This will
also help keep ourselves together as one people of one blood.
Through varied activities for the whole month, students will be able to realize the
importance of patriotism and Family bonding.
In every activity, students must be able to integrate Filipino Values that would relate to
this year’s theme, “Pagmamahal sa bayan paigtingin: Pamilyang pilipino pagtibayin.”
These are the following activities conducted during the whole month celebration:
1. Story Writing and Telling
2. Essay Writing
3. On-the Spot Poster Making
4. Bible Reading and Interpretation
5. Interpretative Dance
6. Tagis Talino
7. Character Role Play
All of the activities mentioned above were successfully implemented through the help
and cooperation of all the advisers in each level. All Students and Teachers were actively
participated the event that make the long celebration successful.
In behalf of the EsP Department, were still looking forward for more improvement and
development that will enhance and promotes positive values of our students for the betterment
of the school, and of the society and to the nation as well.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE SUCCESS!!!
