Teaching Practice Task 3: Noting Teaching and Learning Strategies

Day 1: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: identify a square

Strategy: Ring the bells

That strategy the teacher used in the classroom to grab the attention of the students, she hold
him when they listen the ring of the bell they should frieze in their place and don’t move or
talk, so the students know that the time to be focus with her.

Day 2: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: recognize and count 2 objects.

Strategy: funky finger

The teacher used hand strategy with the students which can deal with a centre’s activity of
prior learning, this strategy can develop their fine motor skills because the students use their
hands to write, colour, and play with play dough.

Day 3: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: identify and create a triangle.

Strategy: Modelling

That strategy the teacher used it’s a good technique, that can be explained as giving the
students a sample or example of a process, before they do it by themselves. This strategy
helps the students know what it is that they’re supposed to produce or do it in right way.

Day 4: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: able to identify and name the colour green.

Strategy: numbers related activity

The strategy that teacher used with the students is stick points. This strategy can deal with the
motivation of the children. Also, it can encourage them to be with positive behaviour and the
students who have more point get rewards like they will have more time to play in playground.

Day 5: Subject: Math Learning Outcome: recognize and count 3 objects.

Strategy: counting numbers

The strategy that the teacher used is behaviour chart. This strategy can deal with the
motivation of the students in classroom management which can help her to control them
during the lesson.
