I. Towards the latter end of my tenure, I worked on the Dukhan Highway Project (DHP) as a Project Engineer, where
my primary responsibility involved Project/Design Managing all elements of the Landscaping scope of works;
valued at over £ 20,000,000.00. Close liaison with the Contractors (CCC), the Sub Contractors (GHC), the PMC
(KBR), frequent site visits and conscientious monitoring and tracking of activities, were all required in ensuring all
elements of the Project Management Model; Time, Cost, Scope and Quality, were achieved to the desired standard.
II. Further to the above, the following roles were also undertaken during this period:
• Tunnels Engineer – Selected as the main point of contact for the Tunnels team in Qatar and deputised for
the Senior Tunnels Engineer where possible, in liaison, design and technical expertise. The role involved
heavy coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure deliverables, such as Validation Reports and
other similar Reports, Comments Sheets (ERSs and DRSs) and Analyses for each Tunnel section, were
completed and submitted before the stipulated deadline.
• Structural Engineer – Analysed and performed the Detailed Design of the Underground Rail Structures -
the Stabling Yards and Switchboxes for the Doha Metro Gold Line Project. Design softwares such as Robot
Structural, Revit Structures and AutoCAD were utilized in this endeavour.
• Stations Design Coordinator – Attended high-level interface meetings, jotted down MoM and ensured all data
received from all participating stakeholders (CJV, Arcadis, WP, Kone, etc.) via ProjectWise/Aconex were examined
and disseminated to the relevant Global Design Centres to maintain seamless progress of works.
• Claims Engineer - Worked independently on a legacy, Infrastructure Project; Khalifa, Rayyan and
Bustan, to facilitate a Design Claim, prepared as per strict guidelines of the Client (KBR & Ashghal) and
Approving Body (EBD), in reconciling outstanding payments worth up to £ 1,500,000.00. Frequent liaison with the
above-said bodies was required for the success of this exercise.
• Assistant Civil Engineer – Supported the Director of Infrastructure in preparing numerous Claims for historic
and live projects related to Design Claims, Extension of Time, Increase in Staff Costs and Resources, Project
Penalties, etc. Moreover, worked alongside the Regional Bids Director in the preparation of Tenders and
Projects for Clients and consequently liaised with said Clients and external organisations for various queries/
clarifications.

using CESMM3 rules of measurement.
• Preparing Site-Instructions according to the Client's orders.
• Producing layout drawings for Site-Instructions using design software such as AutoCAD.
• In itiating change requests for matters requiring the formalization of Variation Orders.
• Putting together Variation Orders by comparing and assessing submissions of the Contractor and the Consultant so
that cost impacts (cost savings/cost increases) or time impacts on the project could be identified and reported to the
Client.
• Reviewing the Contractor's monthly interim payment applications and issuing the interim payment certificates
accordingly.
• Preparing Claims for Extension of Time (EoT), Increase in staff costs and resources and Design changes for the
Dukhan Highway Project and a variation project (Doha Land); produced five successful Addenda.
• Ensuring all incoming and outgoing correspondence were documented and filed in a methodical manner.
