B. Motivation
The teacher will ask the students about the cleaning tools they used at home.
The teacher will post word hunting puzzle in the board. The teacher initiates
to play last man standing to make it fun.
The teacher will show each basic material in housekeeping. The teacher will
explain the uses and definition including the usage of each material.
Dust pan- flat container used for collecting dirt and dust swept up with a
broom
Duster- a cleaning tool with a handle and feathers (or a soft cloth) used for
wiping off dust surfaces.
Garbage bag/bin- large, heavy bag for collecting the household garbage.
Laundry Detergent- powder or liquid soap used for cleaning clothes and
linen.
Mop- long sticks with a sponge at the bottom that is soaked in water and soap;
used for cleaning floors.
Scrub brush- a brush with a handle on it, often used for cleaning toilets.
Scouring pads- tough cleaning pads used for scrubbing pots, pans, and ovens.
Sponge- soft cleaning product that absorbs water and is used for washing
surfaces
Application
The teacher will group the students into 4 groups. Each group will be given
tools to discuss, and perform how it is being used. They will be graded with the
use of criteria.
