25th National Children’s Month (NCM) Celebration

2017 Theme: BATA! ILIGTAS SA DROGA!


(R.A. No. 10661 declares the month of November of every year as National Children’s Month with DSWD, CWC
and NYC as lead agencies

1) Press Conference Strengthening engagement and partnership Nov. 3

child; will highlight the important role of quad-
media in shaping the character of a child.

4) Dikit-a-Sticker Campaign Messages on drug awareness in partnership Nov. 16
with Safe Kids Philippines, LTO, Department
of Transportation, IMBOA, PJH- Pasang Venue: Quezon City
Masda, FEJODAP and PISTON, Tricycle
Transp – TODA, and Philippine Motorbike
Association.
5) Kids Festival
CWC Partnership with the National Library of Nov. 20-24
the Philippines
Nov. 20- Opening Ceremony

An anthology of short stories intended for 100 Nov. 21 – Mga Kwento ni Lolo
children ages 8-12 years old from different Digong sa Mga Bata
backgrounds and circumstances (IP, CWD, Venue:Malacañan Palace
children in labor, school children, children in
institution, etc.).

The storytelling of the President will be


about drug abuse and making children
understand that drug abuse is a menace and
it can destroy one’s future.

The program shall run for an hour, 30


minutes will be dedicated to highlight the soft
heart of the President for the Filipino children
and shall promote family-oriented values and
the importance of the role of the child within
the Filipino family and in nation building.

The remaining 30 minutes shall be for a
puppet show to be presented by the

South East Asian (SEA) Prix Manila Peninsula
celebration which will be conducted in Manila
Jeunesse Video Festival and
Competition (Nov. 27-29, 2017) Peninsula Hotel on Nov. 27-29, 2017 in
partnership with Anak TV Inc.

In the Philippines, the national competition is


called SINEBATA where entrants must give
their very good interpretation of the theme:
Pride in Self, Family and Traditions. This is a
festival and competition of creators of videos
FOR, BY and WITH CHILDREN. Any group
consisting of 5 children with ages ranging
from 8-17 can join.
