1. The shaded portion shifts clockwise, and the number of small circles alternates between 1 & 2.

35. Capacity of container X = 4 litres


Capacity of 8 buckets of container X = 4 × 8 = 32 litres

Capacity of container Y = 7 litres


Capacity of 6 buckets of container Y = 7 × 6 = 42 litres

Including the extra 10 litres, the total capacity of milk poured into the big container = 32 + 42 + 10 = 84 litres
