Narrative Report

Good afternoon to all of you, especially to our very active and beautiful instructor Ma’am Arra
Kaye L. Espenido. First of all I would like to introduce myself I am Mohaima Marohombsar
Alinor. So, I’m going to continue the discussion of Mr. Benito about the Leading Environmental
Problems. One of the problems also that affect the environment are Toxic Chemicals,
Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming, Population growth, and the Global flow of dangerous
debris which I am going to tackle today.

First, Toxic Chemicals the U.S. environmental protection Agency or EPA defines a toxic
chemical as any substance which may be harmful to the environment or hazardous to your health
if inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin, and as according to Diamond that there are
chemical industries which manufacture or release into the air, soil, oceans, lakes, and rivers
many toxic chemicals.
Insecticides is the substances used to kill insects, tapos yong pesticides ay parang magpariho
lang sila nong insecticides and then yong herbicides ay ang pagpatay sa mga unwanted plants.
pati rin mercury and other metals, fire-retardant chemicals, refrigerator coolants, detergents, and
components of plastics.

Ikalawa ay ang Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming, sinasabi dito that humans have
produced gases that have damaged the atmosphere.
At

Ikatlo, ay ang Population Growth we all know that population growth is an increase in the
number of people that reside in a country, state, or city. There is formula that determine whether
there has been a population growth: (birth rate + immigration) – (death rate + emigration).
Immigration is the action of coming to live permanently in a country and then the emigration is
an act of removal from one country or state to another, actually na-discussed na yan nong last
reporter. Businesses and governmental bodies use this information to make determinations about
investing in certain communities or regions. And if I’m not mistaken, dahil sa patuloy ng
policy”.
And then Population Growth is kung saan ang South ay naka-remain stable in much of the North.
As according to the book, the roughly one billion people who live in the developed countries,
especially the 300 million or so in the United States, have a per capita consumption rate of 32,
while it is much less in the less developed world, with many countries located there (example is
Kenya) approaching a rate of 1, or 32 times less than that in the US. Samakatuwid, basi dito ang
pinakamalaking suliranin patungkol sa population growth ay pag-produced by those
nations(especially the US) with both the largest populations and the highest conssumption
rates.Tulad narin dito sa Philippines na may ibang parting lugar sa Luzon especially the manila
na nagiging over populated narin ngayon.

And the last of my report is the Global Flow of dangerous Debris in my own
understanding about this topic, this is the moving mass of loose mud, sand, soil, rock, water and
air that travels down as slope under the influence of gravity, to be considered a debris flow, the
moving material must be loose and capable of “flow” and atleast 50% of the material must be
sand-size particles or larger. And all parts of the world produce detritus that is dangerous, or
atleast potentially so. The examples of concern here include “e-waste” such as discarded
television sets, computers, printers, cell phones, and so on. However, it is the highly developed
northern countries that produce a disproportionate amount of such debris.
