Orientoituminen Koe
Which words come from the following abbreviations? Also explain the abbreviation’s importance.
a) R-lauseke Risk=Vaara lauseke. Kertoo mitä kemikaalit vaaroja aiheuttaa. ( Tells you what
chemicals pose dangers)
d) LD50 Lethal dose= Tappava annos. Koe elaimelle suun tai ihon kautta annettu
kemikaaliannos, jolla puolet koe-elämistä kuolee.( Experiment with an oral or
dermal dose of chemical to the animal, at which half of the test life dies)
Luettele (Luettelo) kemikaalien puhtausluokat. (List the purity classes of the chemicals.)
Kuinka toimit, kun kemikaalia joutuu? (How do you deal with the chemical?)
b) Iholle Iholle joutunut kemikaali: Riisu saastunut vaate pois päältä. Huuhtelu vedellä 30
min. Jälken ilmoitus opettajalle. (Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing.
Rinse with water for 30 min. Afterwards notice to the teacher)
Suunkautta elimistöön joutunut kemikaali: Orally chemical ingested: Lasillinen maitoa. Ei saa oksentaa.
Ilmoitus opettajalle. ( A glass of milk. Do not induce vomiting. Notice to the teacher).
Tehtävä 4 (maks. p)
Mikä on tavallisen lasin ja laboratoriolasin ero eli kuinka erotat ne toisistaan? What is the difference
between regular glass and laboratory glass, ie how do you distinguish between them?
- Emäkselle syövyttävät
- Corrosive to alkali
- Reagent bottles, cheap test tubes, thick-walled dishes eg desiccator, measuring glasses, watch glasses)
- Sulamislämpötila 1200’C
- The cross section looks greyish. e.g., Flask or beaker, Dekat, Erlat
Mihin kiehumakiviä käytetään a miksi? Mitä tiedät niiden käyttöohjeista? What are the boiling stones
used for and why? What do you know about the instructions for using them?
a) Voitko 10ml:n täypipetillä mitata 7,5 ml? Miksi? Can you measure 7.5 ml with a 10 ml transfer
pipette? Why?
b) Millä neutraloit NaOH-liuksen, oka pH on 9? How do you neutralize a NaOH solution of pH 9?
c) Kuinka toimit, jos olet ottanut työtäsi varten liikaa kiinteää reagenssia säilytysastiasta? What do
you do if you have taken too much solid reagent out of the container for your work?
Sitten siirrän ylimääräisen kiinteän reagenssin toiseen pulloon, merkitsemme sen asianmukaisesti ja
laitan myös varoitusmerkin.
Then I will transfer the excess solid reagent to another bottle, label it appropriately and put also warning
sign
d) Mainitse kaksi (2) erittäin helposti syttyvää nestemäistä kemikaalia. Mention two (2) extremely
flammable liquid chemicals.
Kun leimahduspiste on +100'c tai alle. Esim. Rikkihiili, eetteri, petrolieetteri, Asetoni.
When the flash point is + 100'c or less e.g. Sulfur carbon, ether, petroleum ether, Acetone
e) Mihin asioihin sinun tulee kiinnittää huomiota, kun luet kemikaalin käyttöturvallisuustiedotteen?
What are the things you need to pay attention to when reading the chemical safety data sheet?
Molecular formula, warning symbol, R and S phrase, properties, HTP value, LD50, how to store,
reactivity, environmental damage, how much to dispose of, health effects, technical safety measures.
f) Kuinka laimennat vahvaa happoa vaaraa aiheuttamatta (mainitse kaksi asiaasta). How to dilute a
strong acid without risk (mention two things)
- Happo on lisättävä hitaasti veteen ja sitä tarvitaan myös jatkuvasti sekoittaen (The acid must be added
slowly to the water, and with constant stirring also needed.)
