Celebrity, as common understanding refers to, is a person that have obtained a fame and name in
society which makes him/her easily recognizable in the society. In a country like India, it can be
associated with the recognition and honor for some form of success by a large group public. A in

of our society and therefore, there is an urgent need to regulate the affairs of the media through
effective laws. One such law which, has got huge significance in regulating media is the
Intellectual Property Law, since most of the creation and the services provided by the media is in
intangible form and is a result of the intellectual creation of the human intellect. Therefore, a major
