Course Description
This course covers the organization of data acquisition channels with
emphasis on characteristics of channel elements and computation of
error budget. Topics includes sensors and transducers, instrumentation
amplifiers, signal conditioning techniques, loading effects, considerations
of bandwidth and stability, recovery of signals from noise, correlation and
sampling techniques, Active and digital filters, in addition to A/D, D/A
conversion methods. Also, the course highlights interference and noise,
common mode rejection techniques for elimination of ground loops,
screening, and guard techniques.
