The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through Engineers Registration Board is
implementing the “Structured Engineers Apprenticeship Programme (SEAP)” for graduate
engineers. Participation to the SEAP programme will enable Tanzanian Graduate Engineers to
acquire professional experience in a structured manner and thus qualify for registration as
Professional Engineer within the minimum period of three years as specified in the Act.
The Engineers Registration Board (ERB), a statutory body established under the Act of
Parliament Act No. 15 of 1997 as amended by the Engineers Registration (amendment Act No.
24 of 2007), is the implementing agency of the programme.
The Board has identified your organization as one that can offer suitable training for Mechanical
Engineering; and kindly requests a placement for duration of one year for Mr. Eliuteri Kitupi
who is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from Mbeya University of Science and Technology in
2018. However, the duration of this training is 3 years; whereby the trainee is required to
undergo field work, management and design so as to qualify for registration as a Professional
Engineer. The trainee will work under the supervision of professional Engineer and will be
required to submit quarterly practical training reports as prescribed by the Board.
